42! (Do people still read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?) Seriously, I try very hard not to think too hard about what the meaning of life might be. It’s my belief that life exists by chance, so I don’t think there is any “meaning” of life. I always say the goal of life should be to enjoy yourself and try to help others to enjoy themselves. 🙂
Life is what you make out of it. You can make it meaningful or meaningless, that is your choice. Personally I try not to ponder it too much because it isn’t productive – even Deep Thought took 7.5 million years to come up with 42 as the answer!
My meaning of life is to protect, grow and provide for my immediate family and contribute back to society to the best of my ability.
42! (because I’ve also read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) I wasn’t that impressed with the movie.
I think you put the meaning into your own life by exploring what’s out there, developing friendships, building on your individual talents and sharing and teaching what you have done with others.
I actually haven’t read Hitchhiker’s Guide, but now I feel like I should! I also believe that life is what you make of it. Basically, it can be as exciting and wonderful or as miserable as you make it. It’s up to you.

I also was going to say 42, haha. Be happy. Nothing else matters.
