Question: is being a scientis as hard as it looks?

Keywords: , ,

  1. Its not hard at all. Its really not harder than other jobs. It does require a lot of study and dedication, but like anything requires you to like what you do. If you don’t like science/being a scientist, you’ll find it extremely difficult. If you do like it, its a very easy, awesome job!

  2. I think if you like your job (and the people you work with), it isn’t hard. You feel motivated to come to work and get your experiments done.

  3. No, it’s not hard. Does it look hard? 🙂 It takes a lot of work, and study, but most scientists are very passionate about their work and don’t mind the extra effort it takes. As the others have said, if you enjoy what you do, it won’t seem like work.

  4. It is as hard as any other profession. If you have the passion for what you do, it isn’t hard because you will find the time to study on it. You need to find what drives you. Science isn’t for everybody, but some of the scientific principles and knowledge can be applied to other areas. Originally I also thought science is hard because you have to come up with something new that others haven’t found, but once you are there doing the work, you build on the work of others.
