My work has a number of steps. The first is field work – go out and fine the fossils next prepare the fossil and that is either chemical in acid or virtual in the synchrotron. Next is assess the anatomical data, formulate a hypothesis and make comparisons to what is known in living animals and lastly I write up my results and discussion as a research paper which I either present at a conference or submit to a journal for publication. I have a really nice mix of practical and theory
