Always. It gets in my way otherwise. And, there is a risk of contaminating an experiment if your hair accidentally falls in.

It doesn’t matter for my job. Only thing is when at a telescope, you usually have to where a hard hat.
My hair is short enough that I don’t have to do anything with it. I might get it shaved like Chris if I get into this clinical trial.
I shaved my head just so I wouldn’t need to tie my hair back any more. 😉
I have to tie mine back for safety reasons. Also it gets in the way and like Goli it could contaminate my experiments. In the field I sue chainsaws and jackhammers so I also wear a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protections and steel cap boots.
